Program Manager- Synthesis, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre

Bremen, Germany (3 days on-site) at Synthesis, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre at Constructor University (https://constructor.university/synthesis)

Position Overview:

As our Program Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Synthesis on the 4 key areas highlighted below. You'll wear many hats, from doer to planner and facilitator. Your core duty will be to support Synthesis programs from start to finish making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll be working directly with the Director of the Centre, Ali Alam.

We operate across four exciting areas:

  • Synthesis Incubator:
    • You will manage the entire lifecycle of ventures within the program, from selection to graduation.
    • This includes overseeing the application process, coordinating mentor matchmaking, and facilitating workshops on relevant topics (e.g., fundraising, prototyping, legal).
  • Academic Programs:
    • You will manage the logistics with academia to deliver experential entrepreneurship courses for students, Pre-Bachelors and Pre-Master programs.
    • This will involve managing guest speaker sessions, industry visits, and team- based projects.
  • Entrepreneurship & Innovation Consultancy:
    • You will consult entrepreneurs, guide them with their needs and connect them with the relevant resources.
    • This would involve working with the industry, scheduling workshops, and coordinating with external resources.
  • Co-working & Maker Space Development :
    • You'll play a key role in creating a thriving community space for the Entrepreneur.
    • This will involve organizing networking events, managing access control, and fostering collaboration among members.

This is what you will be doing:

  • Program Development & Management:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement program curriculum, activities, and resources.
    • Maintain program timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in entrepreneurship education and support.
  • Logistics & Operations:
    • Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling events, securing venues, and coordinating with vendors working with the events
  • Develop and implement efficient communication plans to keep participants, mentors, and staff informed working with the communications team.
  • Coordinate program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Participant & Stakeholder Management:
    • Recruit, onboard, and support program participants (student entrepreneurs, mentors, industry experts ).
    • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and networking events.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with mentors, faculty, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluation & Reporting:
    • Track program progress and impact through data collection and analysis.
    • Develop and deliver regular reports on key program metrics to measure success.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve program offerings based on data and feedback.
       
  • You will be working directly with the Director of Synthesis, Entrepreunership & Innovation Centre, Ali Alam helping to coordainte all aspects of the programs.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing programs or projects, preferably in an educational or entrepreneurial setting.
  • Possesses excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is adaptable to change.
  • Is a clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and youth empowerment.
  • Has a strong belief in the power of education to create positive social changes.
  • Experience working with student entrepreneurs, startups, or within the education sector is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Notion) and relevant software is a benefit.
  • Fluency in English and preferably German(C1-C2).
  • Knowledge of the startup scene in Germany, specifically Bremen and the surrounding area.
  • Self-organization skills and curiosity towards digital tools & automation.
  • Open feedback culture & team understanding.

Preferable:

  • Experience working at an academic institution.
  • Experience with EXIST and other startup grants is highly preferred.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business studies or entrepreneurship) or equivalent working expereince(3-4 years).
