Job Summary:

The Multimedia and IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to users experiencing issues with multimedia software and hardware, as well as general IT support tasks. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and customer service skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Multimedia Support:

  • Troubleshoot multimedia hardware issues, including problems with cameras, microphones, and speakers.
  • Support live events by managing and operating AV equipment, ensuring smooth execution of presentations and meetings.

IT Support

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application problems.
  • Resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases.
  • Document all user requests and actions taken in the helpdesk ticketing system.

Technical Assistance and Training:

  • Train users on new tools and software applications, focusing on multimedia technologies.
  • Create and maintain documentation on procedures, FAQs, and user guides.
  • Perform routine checks and updates to hardware and software to ensure they are operational and up to date.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the IT team and other departments to enhance and troubleshoot system integrations.
  • Communicate effectively with users to explain solutions, answer questions, and provide updates.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with multimedia production, software, and hardware.
  • Strong understanding of IT support processes, including troubleshooting and ticket management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk software and tools.

 

Additional Skills (Optional):

  • Experience supporting live events or conferences.
  • Certifications in multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) or IT service management (e.g., ITIL).
