Alexandra Boltasseva honored with 2023 R.W. Wood Prize!
Constructor group is proud to announce that Alexandra Boltasseva, a Ron and Dotty Garvin Tonjes Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University and member of Constructor group’s academic network, has been named the 2023 R.W. Wood Prize recipient by Optica.
The R.W. Wood Prize is a highly regarded award that recognizes outstanding discoveries, scientific or technical achievements, or inventions in the field of optics. Boltasseva's groundbreaking contributions to the materials aspects of metamaterials, plasmonics, and nanophotonics have opened up new avenues for research in the field, making her a deserving recipient of the award.
Boltasseva is a distinguished researcher in the field of nanophotonics, quantum photonics, nanofabrication, and optical materials, and has received numerous awards, including the IEEE Photonics Society Young Investigator Award, the MRS Outstanding Young Investigator Award, and the Blavatnik National Award for Young Scientists Finalist.
In addition to the R.W. Wood Prize, Boltasseva has been honored with several awards, including the IEEE Photonics Society Young Investigator Award, the MRS Outstanding Young Investigator Award, and the Blavatnik National Award for Young Scientists Finalist. She is also a Guggenheim Fellow and a Fellow of Optica, IEEE, the National Academy of Inventors, MRS, and SPIE.
