Mark Kamlet
Mark Kamlet is a Professor of Economics and Public Policy and Provost Emeritus at Carnegie Mellon University. He has joint appointments in the Department of Social and Decision Sciences in the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.
Kamlet served as the chief academic officer and executive vice president from 2000 to 2014. In this role, he oversaw research and educational activities and engaged in technology commercialization activities and internationalization of the university's footprint. Kamlet serves on the boards of various for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and has served on study panels of the National Academy of Science, the National Institutes for Health, and the National Academy of Medicine.
